Today we want to talk about 3 of the most important Spanish art museums, fortunately they are in Madrid, so if you have a stopover in the capital of Spain and you are also art lovers, there is no escape from this opportunity to visit them.
1.- Museo del Prado
On the Paseo del Prado you can find this amazing museum, where you can find pictures of artist such as Goya, Velázquez, Rubens or el Greco. In fact this is the most visited museum in Madrid.
2.- Museo Reina Sofía
Located on Santa Isabel street, next to the Atocha train station, in this museum you can see pictures of the best Spanish painters of the 20th century, such as Dalí, Miró and Pablo Picasso. Among his most famous paintings highlights the wonderful Guernica of Picasso.
3.- Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza
To complete the Madrid art triangle, we find this impressive collection of the Thyssen-Bornemisza family also located on the Paseo del Prado. In addition to its magnificent temporary exhibitions, you can also see works of great foreign painters ranging from the Gothic to the fifteenth century.
