The tour begins at our local Calle Escalinata, 10 (Plaza de Opera). We will start by the Majestic Royal Palace and we will go to Casa de Campo, the largest urban park in Spain through the Cuesta de la Vega and the Parque de Atenas. Once there we will visit the Lake and we will visit the banks of the Manzanares, visiting the Puente de Segovia (1564) and the Puente de Toledo (1732).
We will continue Madrid Río south direction, until we reach the Pasarela de Arganzuela (2007), masterpiece of the prestigious French architect Dominique Perrault; also the beaches of Madrid, the Arganzuela Park with its fountains and slides and the old Slaughterhouse of Madrid. A spectacular set of 10 ships, now converted into a cultural center that includes, restaurants, cinema and exhibition halls.
From there we will return to donwtown to get to know the most historical part of our city, including: the Calle Mayor, the Plaza de la Villa, the Mercado de San Miguel (gastronomic temple par excellence), the Plaza Mayor and, finally, the emblematic Puerta del Sol: with its symbolic “Km0” and the Statue of the Bear and the Madroño (symbol of the city). We will end the tour savoring a delicious paella in a restaurant located just 1 minute from our starting point, Opera Square.
